Lots of fun at our Medieval Banquet

Year 7's are immersed in a Medieval experience

Our Year 7 students donned tunics, hoods, wimples and bonnets as they joined in the celebrations at this year’s Medieval Banquet.  After making model castles,  a trip to Dudley Castle and researching then creating medieval bunting and shields to decorate our hall, costumes, tasty pastries,  bread, soup and drumsticks they experienced a full-on medieval occasion!

This was made extra special by the entertainment; a medieval doctor brought along his gruesome implements and entertained the students with tales of his patient’s ailments and how he thought he could cure them.

Our students also got to perform for the event after they had been practising their medieval dancing and music making for several weeks to give a polished performance at the banquet.

Year 7 students had a fabulous time, immersed in the medieval experience, an event that has got better and bigger every year since started in 2011.
