Year 8's are busy preparing for a BBC interview!

Our Year 8's prepare for the BBC News School Report Day and are invited to broadcast at the BBC studios!

Our Year 8's are busy researching, interviewing and preparing a wide range of news reports for the annual BBC News School Report Day on Thursday 10 March 2016.  PTC have taken part in this exciting project for several years and this year's preparations are extra special.

Miss Davis, teacher of English is co-ordinating the project and was delighted to be invited with a small group of Year 8's to be interviewed live on BBC Radio WM in Birmingham on 10 March!

Our wider Year 8 team have been busy researching and shaping their stories and were excited to be visited by Carol Ford-Garcia, a senior BBC broadcast journailst and Alex, a reporter from the BBC  who advised them on reporting and writing styles and interview techniques etc. so they could ensure their reports are as professional as possible.

On 7th March our smaller team went to the BBC studios in Birmingham as a rehearsal for the big broadcasting day on Thursday 10th in the BBC studio
